To push for zero deaths or serious injury on Ottawa roads. We want those who govern our transportation systems to fully adopt, fund and implement Vision Zero principles. That includes: not accepting tragedy as inevitable; human life and health over all other objectives; emphasize a safe systems and design approach to safety.
Our Goal
We are a 100% volunteer organization. We bring together community members from across the city with vast experience from engineering to public health with the aim to have municipal and provincial governments implement systemic traffic safety changes, with an emphasis on street design, active transportation, and prioritization of human life over convenience.

Safe by design
The most reliable, proven way to eliminate traffic deaths and serious injuries is with physical road design elements. Design must assume people are imperfect, and when they do err it does not result in a life changing injury or loss of life.
Accountability
Those who build and govern our transportation system bear the greatest responsibility for traffic safety.
Hierarchy of responsibility
Road users who impose the greatest risk to others bear the greatest responsibility.
